Drabbles by MirasauiLord of the RingsRemembranceby Mirasaui Disclaimer: The characters are Tolkien's creations, not mine. This is all just for fun. Story Notes: 100 Word Drabble. For Orchyd, who requested an Elrond/Lindir drabble. Rating: G The sound was of water trickling; the gentle patter of a sudden summer's rain. It built in strength much as a storm blows into fury, washing away all that is dead and decayed, leaving a landscape wet, colour heightened, renewed. Slender fingers caressed the strings of the harp as Lindir swayed back and forth, lost to all else but the music that he played. Elrond remembered their touch. So lovely; the fluid notes, the gilded instrument, the slow dance of his pale harpist. The ghost of another danced in his mind then was gone, forever. The notes died and he smiled. ![]() Never Say Never by Mirasaui Summary: Elrohir and Elladan peek. Disclaimer: The characters are Tolkien's creations, not mine. This is all just for fun. Story Notes: 100 word drabble. For Larien, who wanted the twins as elflings. Rating: G. "Shush!" Elladan said from amidst the bush. "Let me look. There is enough room in the bush for meeee," Elrohir whined, trying to push past his twin. "Quiet, they will hear. Give me a chance to.... Balrogs! They are holding hands!" "No!" Elrohir exclaimed, are they truly? Let me see!" Elrohir wiggled his way into the bush just in time. Haldir wrapped his arms around Glorfindel and planted a kiss! "Ewwww!" Grey eyes widened in horror as both elflings glanced at each other. Two pinkies locked. "Say after me, Ro. I will never grow up. I will *never* grow up." ![]() Uh Oh! by Mirasaui Summary: Glorfindel is upset with Haldir. Disclaimer: The characters are Tolkien's creations, not mine. This is all just for fun. Story Notes: 100 word drabble. For Jai, who asked for Glorfindel/Haldir. Rating: G. "You did WHAT!" Blue eyes flashed dangerously in the morning sun. "Who gave you permission? How dare you touch what is mine and mine alone!" "Be at ease, Glorfindel," Haldir drawled. "No harm was intended. Erestor can be quite...persuasive. He said you would not mind. Besides," Haldir said petulantly, "Who would have thought you would return so suddenly, or that Elrohir would tell all. Never trust an elfling," he mumbled under his breath. Glorfindel counted to ten, stifling an urge to strangle the bloody elf. "Dismount!" he growled from between clenched teeth. "Return my horse to the stable...now!" ![]() The Fruits of our Labour by Mirasaui Summary: Arwen gives Elladan a task. Disclaimer: The characters are Tolkien's creations, not mine. This is all just for fun. Story Notes: 100 word drabble. For Sus1206, who wished "Elves, Elves, pretty Elves and fruit". Rating: G "Just match the elf with the fruit," Arwen replied. "For example, Lindir has the blush of a fresh-picked peach." She sighed, romantically. Elladan stomped off. Of all the assignments! Lanterns shone softly on the centre table. A white card next to a juicy peach read Lindir. A golden orange lay at Glorfindel's setting. For Elrond, there was a lush purple plum and Erestor, a dewy mound of blackberries. Elrohir and Elladan received twin cherries on a stem. But for Arwen and Haldir, tonight's special guests, there lay entwined a prickly pineapple and a shrivelled prune. Elladan smiled. How sweet, revenge. ![]() Elladan by Mirasaui Disclaimer: The characters are Tolkien's, not mine. Story Notes: 100 word drabble. For Silver Trails who wanted a drabble about Elladan. Rating: G "Into the battle rode two great horsemen, different than the others. We looked for them afterward but they vanished. Elf lords it was rumoured, sons of Elrond." "Elrohir, I know well." said a grey-cloaked figure. "Speak of him not as Elf, for the blood of the Dúnedain runs also in his veins and do not be deceived by his fair countenance. Deadly is his blade and keen his eye with bow and arrow, a bane to Orcs and those that court the shadow. Many of their ilk has he slain. Doubt not my words, for I am his brother, Elladan." ![]() Elrond and Thranduil by Mirasaui Disclaimer: The characters are Tolkien's, not mine. Story Notes: 100 word drabble. For Cassalynx (Milly) who wished Elrond and Thranduil. Rating: G. Elrond glanced at the elf beside him. Of rich green was his robe with sprigs of holly embroidered in detailed relief on every surface of the heavy velvet. Emeralds and rubies outlined leaves and berries but none were as large or as brilliant as those set in the many rings that adorned the king's fingers. His golden hair was braided in an elaborate style and there, too, adamant and emerald sparkled betwixt red and green ribbon of fine satin sheen. Elrond blinked, fascinated. Even the Yule tree in all its finery could not outshine the glory of the woodland king, Thranduil. ![]() Haldir by Mirasaui Disclaimer: The characters are Tolkien's, not mine. Story Notes: 100 word drabble. For Jaiden who wished a holiday drabble with Haldir. Rating: G. It was cold on the march, lonely. Elves did not feel cold and Haldir did not mind solitude. He would not wish another away from family this Yule; a captain had that discretion. What he did miss were little things: the scent of fresh-cut pine, the bright green and red of holly, mistletoe under which one could expect a kiss, the spicy taste and fragrance of the wassail. An aroma he could...smell. Haldir turned in surprise. "Cheers brother and Yule greetings!" Waving a flask, first one then the other of Haldir's brothers climbed the ladder to the talan. Haldir smiled. |
